Very friendly staff that went out of their way to please us.we mentioned that we were leaving at 6.30 in morning and they offerred to provide breakfast in our room as we would miss out. Instead we took a take away Breakfast Box. No other hotel around the world has done this. Free transport was also arranged without fuss.

Many poolside lounges were "reserved" before 6am by placing a towel on them. Most of the day nobody actually used them. Cannot imagine guests waking so early to do this. Suggest if person is not swimming or using lounge towel should be removedidf unattended for more than 1 hour.

The landscaping is just gorgeous! We felt an immediate calm whenever we entered the compound of Santika. You can walk along the beach (there's a proper walkway) to Discovery Mall, Hard Rock Cafe without having to deal with the busy traffic along the main road. Diagonally across the hotel, there are 3 inexpensive massage places. We tried them all and prefer Mango Spa. The foot reflexology is awesome!

What we saw of the Deluxe Room picture was not what we got. Was rather disappointed when we first saw our room. Shabby. Please bring your own hairdryer. The one provided in the room is frustrating to use. Before you can finish drying your hair, the handle of the hairdryer gets way too hot to hold. The beach is beautiful to look at but getting into it is a great challenge. When the waves come rushing in, it sounds as though there are windchimes around you. There is that much dead corals and shells to walk upon if you want to have a swim in the sea.

We were a bit disappointed with Kuta. Too much touristic for us. However, the Santika Resort was a good refuge. Beautiful resort. The photos on Booked.net don't show reality. It looks much better in real life. The swimming pools are great. The breakfast was very good. The hotel staff always very helpful and with a smile, despite some of them had very poor spoken English. The SamathaSpa was very good as well! Bali has so many great places to see, but Kuta is not our thing. However for the party people it's good, and you won't regret to stay here in Santika. We also recommend a driver/guide called Topo (ask for him at the reception).

The beach is not usable for swimming. Despite the room was very clean, the shower curtain on our room needed a change. We also believe that in the next 1-2 years the hotel should renew the rooms. They don't look shabby but you can notice it's not really new. Also some more pool/snooker/etc games could be available.

All aspects, location, friendly and helpful staff, gourmet breakfast and especially our room which is located just by the pool....

The staff were excellent, the rooms very clean and spacious. The punlic areas were lovely. Sensational breakfast buffet every day!
